Chamber Music Skills Workshop with Karen Iglitzin – strings only

Middle and high schoolers! Here is your chance to be challenged and inspired in a new way. No pre-formed group needed, and no performance at the end – come alone or with a friend or two. This half-day workshop with renowned chamber coach Karen Iglitzin will build your confidence with reading and chamber skills. (Pre-formed groups are still welcome and will receive a masterclass along with the sightreading program. Just let us know.)

Playing level: Roughly Book 7 and up; you need to be able to sight read music that is approximately as difficult as a Suzuki Book 4 piece. Students who want to do both the chamber program and the Suzuki graduation concert will be able to fit in both. Please indicate graduation participation when you register.

Teachers! You are welcome to observe the reading and participate in a Q and A with Karen about chamber coaching. You will learn so much from her unique, empowering, and transformative approach to coaching chamber music.
