Graduation Teacher Input Form
Optional Teacher Statement for the Graduation Program
As Suzuki teachers, many of us commit to lifelong learning. Part of that is having a forum to articulate, build and reflect on your teaching goals. We hope the graduation program can provide teachers with one avenue for this type of planning and reflection.
As part of a pilot program to improve our graduation program we are inviting teachers who have students participating this year to articulate a Teaching Statement. We hope this can accomplish a few things. For participating teachers, writing a statement can give teachers the opportunity to
- Formulate and articulate particular musical and technical goals they may have for each graduation level.
- Inform the evaluators of reasoning behind any changes you have made to bowings, articulation, dynamics or tempos from those presented in the books.
- Inform the evaluators of any particular considerations that would help in the evaluation process.
The best feedback can be given when an evaluator knows the home teacher’s goals.
The teaching statement will be forwarded to teachers evaluating your students.
